Print-at-Home Editions
The Playbook and the Grown-Up Guide for one story, in a single file.
Most printable activities hand you a page and leave you to work out what it was for. This does something else. Every activity comes with a page written for you — what it is, why it works, what to say while you are doing it, and what to do when it turns out too hard or too easy.
The child's half and the grown-up's half, in the same file. $9.95 for one story.
What is inside
One story's complete set — fourteen to sixteen activities, depending on the book. Your child draws, cuts, circles, matches and moves. Nothing asks a child to read a paragraph and answer questions about it.
Beside every activity, a page for you:
What It Is — a plain description of the activity, no jargon.
Why It Works — the real reason this particular game or maze or craft builds a specific skill.
How To Do It Together — including the questions to ask, written out.
Make It Easier, Make It Harder — ways to adjust on the spot, whichever way your child needs.
What To Notice — what your child's answers are quietly telling you.
Who It Helps Most — which learning differences the activity is especially strong for: dyslexia, ADHD, autism, CAPD, and others.
The contents page is linked. Tap an activity to jump to it, and every activity page links to its Grown-Up Guide page and back again.
You print it
That is the trade. Nothing ships, nothing is waited for, and nothing has to be reordered when a page gets used up. Print one activity, or the whole book. When a second child reaches the same age, print it again.
Print as much as you need for the children in your own care — your own family, or the children you work with one to one and in small groups. Licensing for a whole classroom, practice or library arrives later this year.
How this differs from the printed Playbook
The Playbook is a real book. Thirty-two pages your child writes in, draws in and cuts up, and keeps afterwards. When it is finished it is evidence — something to show a teacher who has only ever seen what your child cannot do yet.
The Print-at-Home Edition is those same activities with the grown-up's guidance beside them, arriving in a minute rather than a few days, and printable again whenever you want.
Most families end up wanting both.
How this differs from subscribing
Story Coach gives you every activity for the whole current character month — four stories, sixty activities — plus that month's Grown-Up Guide and every read-along video ad-free, for $9 a month.
A Print-at-Home Edition is one story, bought once, yours whether you subscribe or not.
If you want more than one story, the subscription is the better value. If you want this one story and nothing else, buy it and keep it.
